Leila Mousavi is an Iranian artist born and raised in Arak, Iran. Currently residing and working in Tehran, she has a strong background in graphic design and holds a degree in the field. In recognition of her talent, Leila was honored at the 6th Biennial of Iranian Calligraphy in 2021.
With a diverse skill set that includes press graphics, Leila’s artistic journey took a significant turn during her master’s thesis, which became a pivotal moment in her career. Since then, she has devoted herself wholeheartedly to pursuing her passion.
Leila’s artwork primarily revolves around abstract and formal art forms, drawing inspiration from the aesthetics of letters and words. She skillfully incorporates calligraphy into her pieces for two distinct purposes. Firstly, she employs calligraphy as a visual form and element, allowing her to express herself artistically. Additionally, Leila harnesses the abstract capabilities of calligraphy to create captivating artworks that transcend conventional boundaries.
Through her unique approach, Leila Mousavi showcases a harmonious blend of calligraphy, abstraction, and visual expression, leaving a lasting impact on the art scene.
